Tinsle Tornadoes U11’s beat Charlesworth to maintain unbeaten record!
Earlier today the Tinsle Tornadoes welcomed Charlesworth to the SCG. After the recent heavy rain which lead to the cancellation of yesterdays senior fixture there was general concern as to whether the game would go ahead. After an early morning cut of the track, groundsman Kevin Nield confirmed the ground had dried sufficiently and gave the green light.
Charlesworth took first knock and batted very well. Debutant Harvey Pearson was the pick of the bowlers taking 2-7 – a great effort! Henry Godley, George Ainslie and Tom Chambers each took 1-3. Tintwistle took 5 wickets in total to restrict the visitors to 197.
Charlie Harris opened with Harvey Pearson neither conceding a wicket. Charlie set about the bowling in typical fashion scoring a superb 30 which included 7 x 4’s! Charlie Morris scored a magnificent 15 whose running between the wickets and eagerness to look for a quick single is something to behold! Once again Tom Chambers also impressed with the bat scoring a superb 13 with some great cricket shots.
The team finished on 265 and ran out worthy winners!
Tinsle Tornadoes are unbeaten in the league this season and finished as Champions of the North Division. Next week, this wonderful group of young cricketers will take part in Finals Day which will be held at Dinting CC.
