Earlier today, the Tornadoes welcomed Newton to the SCG. Having won their last three games, Tinsle were looking to continue their fine run of form.
Tinsle bowled very well and the bowlers took 9 wickets between them. The home side bowled and fielded very well. Newton finished on 198 and the home side would need to hold their nerve and bat sensibly to collect another victory. Well, that’s exactly what the Tornadoes did!
Elliot and Chambers (13 and 11 respectively) were the pick of the batters with everyone else chipping in with great contributions. Tinsle finished on a massive 271.
The Tornadoes collected their 4th straight win and will make the short trip to Mottram next Sunday.
Tintwistle CC are excited to announce the winner of the Junior rebranding competition run in conjunction with Tintwistle C of E Primary School. We had 32 fantastic entries and the creativity of the school children has been brilliant. The list was whittled down to a shortlist of 5 with the management committee voting on their favourite. The votes have now been counted and the winning name is Tinsle Tornadoes. A huge congratulations to Danny Smith for coming up with the design!
The video below shows all the entries!
