Due to the poor weather and pitch conditions, senior and junior training is cancelled tonight.
Training will resume next Thursday;
Old Glossop won the toss and elected to field on a green looking track.
Mark Lilley and Steve Morris opened the batting for Tintwistle. Steve Morris was bowled for 3. Jack Booth joined Mark Lilley at the crease with the score at 10. Tintwistle slowly reached 26-1 after 15 overs. A suicidal single led to Jack Booth being run out for 6.
Matthew Robinson was next in to bat entering at 26-2 in the 17th over. Matthew was caught behind for 1. New skipper Simon Barrow quickly went without troubling the scorers. Sam Bird and Mark Lilley added 76 For the 5th wicket partnership. Bird finishing with 42 having been dropped on 4. Old Glossop finally got Mark Lilley who top scored with 55.
Jack Morris was stumped first ball. Ex-skipper Stuart Dodd fell at the first hurdle and was run out for 1. Andy Littler was bowled in the final over for 15. Jay Patel and Chris Joy finished not out with Tintwistle scoring 129-9 off their allotted 45 overs.
Old Glossop started poorly and were reduced to 12-3. Then Former Tintwistle players Andy Dwyer and Josh Acomb met at the crease, where they laid on a 60+ partnership for the 4th wicket.
Old Glossop chased the 130 target for the loss of 5 wickets.
The sun was shining last night at the SCG as we held our first junior training session of 2016!
It was a fantastic turnout as boys and girls spent an action packed hour with our lead coaches! All involved had great fun and can’t wait to return next week!
