Tintwistle CC launch brand new website
We're very pleased to release the next iteration of our club website. Working with the Chairman Stuart Rose we took the decision to migrate
away from our previous platform WordPress and we have developed the new site from the ground up. The site provides us with a platform to
provide increased exposure to our cricketing teams, our events & social calendar and our sponsors.
Our aim is to make the site more responsive irrespective of the device you use. Whether you are using a smartphone, a tablet or a traditional PC, the website looks great. In the first quarter of 2021, mobile devices (excluding tablets) generated 54.8% of global website traffic so our development principal is to develop for mobile first.
The new site also provides us with greater flexibility to integrate with our partner sites including our payments partner Square and Play Cricket.
In line with most modern websites, the site has a dynamic navigation bar so if you are accessing the site on a larger screen the menu items will display left to right across the top of the page. If you're on a smaller screen you can access the pages by clicking the Hamburger icon.
We've uploaded dedicated pages for the Seniors (including the basic 2022 Senior Fixtures), Juniors and the fantastic Clubhouse project. We have also built pages for our Membership & Sponsorship offerings and a Club Information page providing a high-level overview of TCC. All of this is fronted by a dynamic home page that will be updated on a regular basis with all the news direct from Speedwell.
We have also incorporated social media sharing functionality for all our news articles. At the bottom of these pages, you will be able to share our news on Facebook (web only) and Twitter.
Our Chairman Stuart Rose commented "Tintwistle CC are leading the way again with our social media. This will be a great way of kicking off what will be an epic year for the club".
We have tested the site on both iOS and Android, but if you come across anything that doesn't look quite right, then drop us a message on our Facebook page.
Alternatively, if you have any ideas about content you would like to see please let us know. We have additional functionality in our development pipeline that we will release closer to the season.
In the meantime, enjoy the site.
